Hi everyone, so I am just starting to blog a little on the side of being a wife, mom and buiness 0wner... Yeah, not sure how much time I will have to devote to it with  all of that going on but for now its sort of like a journal :)

For the next week, we have a sale on all cloth pads order $50 and over get 10% off. That adds up if anyone is wanting to buy a stash!

I am just getting finished up with our kitchen remodel and preparing the kids for school! Are there any other moms out there feeling this... Like yay but at the same time I'm going to miss them while they are gone everyday??? That's where I am at right now but they are ready to go back! It's everyday now I hear I miss my friends and I am so excited about school! I LOVE that attitude.

So, this is off topic from HuggableEarth shop.... Just want to update ladies who may be interested... Lately I have been putting some time into my side embroidery business, EarthlingsEmbroidery. Its a very small baby but I have a ton of designs and I want to share them with folks who like to embroider. My whole thing is, embroidery should not have to cost a fortune. I mean after you have gotten a machine, all of the threads, scissors, stabilizers and more.... You should just be able to embroider easily right? Affordably, too, I feel it should be anyway. I look for a design that pops into my head and I go onto the internet and look for it, some shops want an arm and a leg for a design. I am not knocking on their work, its beautiful and the items some shops offer are so unique and awesome; BUT It is difficult for me, personally, to spend $15 on one digital file though. That is why I began making my own files. My kids love plushies and I have looked for the digital embroidery files and some are pretty pricy. There are gals out there looking for some inexpensive designs to use so they can buy more.... am I right>? I don't know. I feel it should be affordable.

I started the EarthlingsEmbroidery shop to be a sister company to HuggableEarth... Hence the Earth in both. I am a torn designer in some aspects... I LOVE to design. I LOVE making cloth pads, I LOVE embroidery.... but these are two very different companies.  I want to do both... I want to have a cloth pads company that has grown every year since its start but I also want to have an embroidery business. I believe in both. I feel SO strongly about HuggableEarth and what it means. The reason for HuggableEarth is women, health and the Earth. We are women. Periods are not fun. They are totally unpleasant but I feel they can be slightly less unpleasant and way more comfortable than most are accustomed to. It saves money. Using cloth pads is  reducing so much waste that is completely unnecessary in this day and age.

Thinking outloud here- to literally anyone that'll listen... lol. :) I will always be experimenting here in my studio to design the best pad there ever was, I just am!!! People are becoming more aware of the health risks of all of the strange things we put in our bodies, certain foods that are not good for us(ones with really really llllooooonnnngggg names), certain medicines etc..Using cloth pads is not any different from choosing an organic vegetable at the store... You don't want to eat MonoSodiumGlutamate(msg) because its not good for your body right?//  So our largest organ is our skin... Right, so my idea is why have stuff against our skin that is not natural? You would never put plastic on, say, your liver... So why on your body? That includes polyester clothes, disposable pads with all of their beached wood pulp and plastic and whatever they put on the back to make them adhesive. I am just saying. There are healthy choices out there and our skin matters just like our organs. I am always looking for new ideas, so message me if you have anything you would like to see in my store!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week back to school if you have kids! Anyone going to college this week good luck and have fun and be safe! Everyone else, just thanks for stopping by and leave a comment to ask questions or comment... I am not sure this blog post was really helpful to anyone, it was more of just a hello and hey about my day :) thanks for stopping.

Last thing... Anyone interested in making their own tampons? Yay or Nay? If it was super easy and directions were super easy to follow? They can totally be hand sewn, cost less than probably $20 in materials and you can make a ton for yourself... simple materials and easy to throw a bunch together! I have this cute pattern but I have not listed it yet, let me know! Thanks.
